!! about us !!
The Ford Plant began as an idea, fueled by a desire to breathe life into Brantford's music scene. The premise was simple - a permanent home for local independent bands to play shows. As the idea matured, grew and crept towards reality, a location was secured and new sounds began to pulsate through the streets of downtown Brantford.
Presently in our fourth year, the Ford Plant remains as an alcohol-free, all ages, not-for-profit venue. The venue is run by a collective of seven volunteers, and new projects such as The One King Gallery are being spearheaded to enhance the Ford Plant community.
The FP has grown over the years, and has welcomed bands from all over North America and beyond. We have hosted a number of talented bands including The Arcade Fire, The Hidden Cameras, Wolf Parade, Constantines, Unicorns, Jim Guthrie, Cuff the Duke, The Sadies, Julie Doiron, The Stills, Cadence Weapon, Kepler, Jon Rae and the River, Ninja High School, Wintersleep, Wooden Stars and more.
